  1. When 21 factors that were significant by univariate analysis were used as covariates for multivariate logistic regression analysis, the significant factors for discriminating tumor stage (I/II vs. III/IV) were tumor markers (CEA and CA19-9), tumor diameter ≥ 60 mm, macroscopic type (type 0, type 2, type 3, and type 4), mucinous histology, and infiltration of the esophagus.
