(a) A low-power view (H&E, 100×) demonstrating the combination of a majority of poorly differentiated large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC) cells and a minority of moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma cells (right lower quadrant). (b) A high-power view (H&E, 400×) demonstrating that the neuroendocrine carcinoma cells were large in size, polygonal, and contained high numbers of mitotic figures.
