(A) A plain film of the femur showing moth-eaten osteolytic lesion with cortical destruction and laminated periosteal reaction. (B) A plain film taken six weeks after prophylactic fixation and debridement surgery showing recurrent osteomyelitis and progressive destruction of the medial cortex with pathological fracture. (C) A plain film taken one year after the final surgery showing bony healing without recurrence.
