Description of symptoms

I

New dyspepsia after 40 years; with indigestion and no past history suggestive of PUD

II

Insidious: tired, weak and 3As- anemia anorexia asthenia

III

Obstruction; dysphagia fullness belching and vomiting

IV

Lump in epigastrium palpable in about 30% of patients with cancer of the stomach.

V

Silent but presents with ascites, jaundice, Krukenberg’s tumors, Trousseaus’ and Trossier’s sign.

  1. Keys: Group I = Early symptoms, Group II to V = Late symptoms.
